Compelling reasons exist for top high school graduates to stay home for higher education -- relatively accessible cost, competitive programs and proximity to home and family. But for some accomplished graduates, a wider variety of academic choices, the attraction of national and school-based scholarships and the quest for adventure and independence lure them to seek opportunities outside the state. |
